Our client in the consumer goods manufacturing industry is seeking a Project Engineer to support the development and launch of consumer products. This role is ideal for an engineering professional who enjoys balancing hands‑on mechanical product design work with project management and cross‑functional coordination. The Project Engineer will manage multiple concurrent product/project initiatives to ensure on‑time delivery, adherence to specifications, and production readiness.

• Manage multiple active engineering projects, driving on‑time completion through effective milestone scheduling, tracking, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Support product line extensions from design through validation, manufacturing readiness, and product release, ensuring requirements and timelines are met.
• Utilize CAD software (Solid Works) to support product design updates, revisions, and manufacturability improvements.
• Handle sourcing communications, coordinating with suppliers on technical requirements and project timelines.
• Coordinate product validation and testing activities, including sample preparation, distribution, and related documentation.
• Partner with third‑party testing labs to support product performance and quality requirements.
  
  Work closely with sales and operations to align product timelines with customer needs and logistics.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and support change control processes.
• Respond to customer inquiries and support requests to resolve product quality issues.

• 2-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar engineering role.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
• Skills in engineering drawings, materials, manufacturing processes, and product specifications.
• Experience with injection molding; plastics industry experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Solid Works (Mechanical CAD) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus (Net Suite preferred).
• Experience in consumer electronics or consumer products is a plus.
