Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled worker who assumes a wide range of clinical and administrative roles within the physician office setting. The role supports providers and interacts with patients and clinical staff in the ambulatory care environment. This full‑time float position covers offices in Sandy Springs, Marietta, Austell, and Alpharetta.

Job Responsibilities
  • The Medical Assistant is a key member of the patient care team by supporting providers with the delivery of high‑quality health care to ambulatory patients.
  • Medical Assistants are vital to the effective operations of a fast‑paced practice.
  • Handling vital signs such as weight, height, temperature, pulse, uranalysis and respiration rate.
  • Securing patient information and maintaining patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records.
  • Serving and protecting the practice by adhering to professional standards.
  • Responding to verbal and electronic requests for information and assistance using proper policies, reference tools and provider instructions.
  • Maintaining a safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and assisting in crisis situations.
  • Understanding of policies and procedures.
  • Completing all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications / Skills
  • At least one year of experience working in a medical office and/or mental health (preferred).
  • Experience working with patients who are suffering from anxiety and depression (preferred).
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor, and interface well with patients in a mental health setting (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
  • Excellent computer skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Some experience in healthcare settings (preferred).
  • Knowledge of working at a clinical setting (preferred).
