As a Team Leader
, you’ll provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate the seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop tax office associates to deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives.
  • Serve as front-line manager, providing leadership and development for associates and acting as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products.
  • Lead daily activities to ensure that all tax office work is completed on time, with attention to quality, priorities and goals.
  • Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to execute on Service Standards and recognize contributions.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
  • Prepare tax returns, as required.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
  • 2+ years as a Tax Professional (if preparing tax returns) and successful completion of required H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course where applicable.
  • Annual continuing education to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible work schedule and adaptability to business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
