Sr. Building Automation Engineer; Utah

Control Solutions Group (CSG), an EMCOR Group company, is seeking an experienced Senior Building Automation Engineer to join our growing team.

As a Senior Building Automation Engineer, you will produce timely and accurate submittals for mechanical engineering approvals, generate controller software sequences, and configure building workstations and server databases with graphics and reporting tools. You will act as a technical expert, ensuring the technical quality and consistency of engineering work, improving team efficiency, and providing training and mentorship.

• Submittal Drawing Production:
  Directly produce and manage the development of BAS submittal drawings, sequence of operations, BOMs, and other required contract documents necessary for project approval and execution.
• Technical Expertise:
  Maintain an in‑depth, hands‑on understanding of technical details and serve as a senior subject‑matter expert, providing guidance on complex system architecture and problem resolution.
• Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance:
  Provide hands‑on technical guidance to the engineering team, reviewing and validating team members’ work for accuracy and adherence to standards, and offering mentorship.
• Engineering Process Improvement:
  Identify and implement systems and processes to improve engineering efficiency and productivity across projects.
• Project Execution Support:
  Offer technical support and oversight throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with project managers and departments to meet schedules and budgets.
• Training and Mentorship:
  Assist in developing and delivering technical training modules for engineers and technicians.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Significant, demonstrable BAS engineering experience with a proven track record of technical supervision or senior‑level guidance.
• Deep experience with Automated Logic hardware and WebCTRL platform.
• Competency with drafting software such as AutoCAD, Visio or similar for creating technical submittal drawings.
• Strong knowledge of BAS platforms, protocols (BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works), and software applications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and technical problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and initiatives simultaneously.

This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not eligible for overtime pay.
