About the job Staff Manufacturing Engineer Position:
Manufacturing Engineer
Compensation:
- Base Salary: USD $100,000 to $110,000
Location:Sandy City UTAH
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:- Implement and sustain work process improvements within the designated manufacturing cell.
- Identify critical equipment settings and create standards.
- Transfer technical knowledge to operators and technical associates.
- Lead and coach associates on continuous improvement methodologies and autonomous maintenance processes.
- Analyze top losses within the manufacturing cell to develop and implement plans to eliminate these losses and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance.
- Manage manufacturing cell change control, including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and addressing quality events and deviations.
- Serve as a technical specialist, advising on the application of methods and concepts within the area and across the organization.
- Plan and execute activities for multiple major or complex projects, processes, and equipment with limited guidance.
- Develop and oversee budgets, and write proposals for major or complex projects.
- Advise and negotiate on critical issues and represent the organization in their area of expertise.
- Required Education: BA/BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing preferred).
- Experience: 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills:
- Proficient in effective oral/written communication, team building, independent thinking, decision-making, machine design, troubleshooting/problem solving, safety & ergonomics, project management, leading autonomous maintenance processes, and quality systems knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of logistics & planning.
- Advanced troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with financial acumen.
