Job SummaryControl Solutions Group (CSG), an EMCOR Group company, is seeking an experienced Senior Building Automation Engineer to join our growing team. The Sr. Building Automation Engineer is responsible for producing timely and accurate submittals for mechanical engineering approvals, generating controller software sequences, building workstations and server database with graphics and reporting tools. The role is a technical expert that ensures the technical quality and consistency of engineering work, improves team efficiency, and assists with the technical training of engineers and technicians.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Submittal Drawing Production:
Directly produce and manage the development of Building Automation System (BAS) submittal drawings, sequence of operations, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and other required contract documents for project approval and execution. - Technical Expertise:
Maintain a strong, hands‑on understanding of technical details and act as a senior subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex system architecture and problem resolution. - Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance:
Provide hands‑on technical guidance to the engineering team, reviewing and validating work for accuracy and adherence to standards, while offering specialized coaching and mentorship. - Engineering Process Improvement:
Identify and implement systems and processes at the team level to improve engineering efficiency and productivity, continuously enhancing product quality and performance. - Project Execution Support:
Provide hands‑on technical support and oversight throughout the project lifecycle—from design and configuration to final delivery and commissioning—helping the team meet schedules and budgets. - Training and Mentorship:
Assist in developing and delivering technical training modules for engineers and technicians to keep the team current with technologies and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Significant, demonstrable experience in BAS engineering, with a proven track record of providing technical supervision or senior‑level guidance to a team.
- Deep experience with Automated Logic hardware and the WebCTRL platform.
- Proficient drafting skills using AutoCAD, Visio, or similar applications for technical submittal drawings.
- Strong knowledge of BAS platforms, protocols (BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works), and software applications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and initiatives simultaneously.

Compensation Range: $110,000 to $130,000 depending on experience.
This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The employee in this role is not eligible for overtime pay.
