Base pay range

$32.00/hr - $42.00/hr

As a dietitian at Encompass Health, you will promote health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing patients' nutritional needs
• Developing and implementing dietary plans
• Providing education on healthy eating habits
• Instructing patients on post‑discharge diets and monitoring their nutritional status
• Communicating with and counseling patients per physician orders and diet instruction
• Communicating with physicians and other disciplines in patient care
• Evaluating referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods
• Documenting pertinent information in the patient's medical record according to established standards
• Implementing nutritional care plans, adapting menus, and assisting patients with special dietary needs
• Conducting calorie counts and making appropriate recommendations
• Reviewing, revising, and signing off menus for nutritional adequacy

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
• State licensure required
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred
• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition
• One year of clinical dietetics experience preferred
