Claim Advocates handle the claim process from beginning to end, working closely with the client, insurance carrier, adjuster and claimants, as well as co‑workers in the underwriting department. They apply company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks and must have a basic working knowledge of principles and practices of their specialty area.

• Assist agency clients in reporting and monitoring commercial and personal lines claims, including taking initial loss notice, sending loss notice to the appropriate insurance company, communicating with insured on adjuster assignment, tracking claim payments, and following the claim until closed.
• Conduct initial reviews of claims for coverage questions, review denials for accuracy, and act as liaison between insured and insurance company adjuster.
• Serve as contact for adjuster and insured for claim‑related issues.
• Refer complex coverage questions to Risk Manager.
• Secure loss runs from carriers as requested.
• Prepare claims information for presentations as requested.
• Resolve customer claim issues in coordination with Account Executives and Producers to reduce E&O exposure.
• Provide claims packets to customers and prospects as requested.
• Read policy forms, understand coverage, and question carriers when necessary.
• Evaluate and challenge claim reserves in accord with industry and claim‑specific knowledge.
• Cooperate with counsel for suit or trial.

• Active Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire date.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with colleagues, leaders, and across all levels.
• Ability to work independently and meet high‑level product deadlines.
• Team player who can achieve goals collaboratively.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• EPIC experience a plus.

• High School Diploma;
  Associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years of claim experience, industry experience.

The base compensation range for this position is $23,000 – $28,000. This range reflects Acrisure’s good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on‑site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross‑functional partnership.
