Job Description Summary
The Production Molding Operator – DMT II reports directly to an assigned Line Shift Supervisor and is responsible for material handling, conducting light product inspection and housekeeping activities for an assigned set of injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with quality molded components, seeking assistance from technicians for any issues.
ShiftC Shift – 12 hour rotating shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM). Scheduled to work 7 days in a 14 day period (2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off. Every other weekend is scheduled off.)

Responsibilities- Packaging, labeling, and handling of product and movement to specified locations.
- Perform limited product visual and Manual inspections.
- Learn and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all products produced in the department, as well as all product quality specifications.
- Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and align with good manufacturing practices requirements.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team with limited supervision.
- Understand and interpret controlled documents including work Instructions, procedures, and inspection forms.
- Notify CILL, and DMT II’s of any equipment issues.
- Work with molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and callouts.
- Align with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 6-12 months previous professional work experience (in a related or unrelated field) required, manufacturing experience a plus.
- Prefer, but not limited to 0-1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably injection molding presses (both electric & hydraulic).
- This position is in a manufacturing environment and the physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to optimally perform the essential functions of this job.

- Employees may be frequently required to perform the following physical duties:
- Stand and/or occasionally sit for extended periods of time.
- Bending, stooping and reaching.
- Walking, kneeling, balancing, crouching, pushing/pulling, repetitive grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hand to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers.
- Lifting requirements: may occasionally be required to lift up to 20 lbs, frequently lift up to 10 lbs, occasionally pulling/pushing up to 30 lbs, frequently pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs, frequently carry up to 5 lbs.
- Almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, and potential temperature fluctuations.
