Responsibilities:

• Meet performance standards established with the manager, including quality of work and timeliness.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs on cemetery grounds to ensure they are well-maintained and presentable.
• Operate powered equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, and chainsaws.
• Use hand tools like shovels, rakes, clippers, and saws for manual tasks.
• Install and maintain sprinkler systems; perform landscape construction and maintenance.
• Assist in burials at grave sites and maintain grave sites appropriately.
• Remove snow from walkways, driveways, and parking lots; spread salt as needed for winter safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

• One year of experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Valid Utah Driver License for operating vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment such as mowers, aerators, trimmers, etc.
• Understanding of sprinkler systems design, installation, and maintenance.
• Awareness of safety precautions related to equipment operation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with supervisors and the public.
