Job Overview
Retail Service Specialist role at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. Assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of Assistant or Store Manager. Bilingual candidates encouraged.
Essential Job Functions- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution on customer service programs (e.g., Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
- Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure, using electronic outside purchase order ledger.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly; issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods; stage returned merchandise correctly.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages; delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedule; approve changes/deviations by management; clock in/out per company policy.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security lights, locking doors, arming alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to obtain RSS Certification
Desired:
- Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
- Automotive systems and repair knowledge
- ASE Certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
