Test Engineer

We're after a Test Engineer whose idea of a good day is a deeply collaborative pull request that closed three tickets and opened zero. The appeal is layered — $83,000 - $114,000, an internship rhythm, technology ownership, and a Renaissance Technologies crew that backs bold calls.

• Tune JIRA caching so Renaissance Technologies survives the Sandy launch spike on the same hardware
• Question the deeply technical Karate pattern everyone copied and propose something cleaner
• Refactor the technology module Renaissance Technologies has been afraid to touch
• Scale Renaissance Technologies's Test Rail services from Sandy pilot to UT-wide rollout
• Profile and refactor legacy code to reduce technical debt over time

• Self-direction that survives a quiet Slack channel
• An eye for the fun-loving detail that separates fine from finished
• Strong time-management skills and a bias toward action
• Comfort owning the unglamorous middle of an internship project
• The reflex to surface risk before it surfaces itself

Ask anyone in Sandy about Renaissance Technologies and you'll hear the same thing: a proudly-imperfect crew that ships fast and sweats the Test Rail details. Burnout is treated as a system bug at Renaissance Technologies, not a badge of documentation-first honor.

The $83,000 - $114,000 we offer comes attached to mentorship, a clear ladder, real benefits, and flexible internship days you can plan around.

This Test Engineer posting is fresh, active, and open for business right now.
