Senior Accounting Consultant - SAP ERP & Reconciliation Projects Overview

Senior Accounting Consultant to provide immediate support on a complex reconciliation initiative. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in high-volume, general ledger, detail-intensive environments and can ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting.

Reconciliation & Accounting Support

• Lead a complex reconciliation of a balance sheet transaction account used as a clearing account.
• Review and analyze all entries flowing through the account to identify discrepancies.
• Investigate variances, prepare supporting documentation, and confirm proper journal entries.
• Reconcile additional balance sheet accounts and one liability account.
• Validate general ledger activity and perform detailed subledger tie‑outs as needed.

Systems & Reporting

• Operate within SAP ERP (recently implemented).
• Leverage the Operations system data.
• Reports and schedules are in Excel. Advanced Excel Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP / INDEX MATCH, Scenario modeling and "What If" analysis.

• SAP ERP expertise (mandatory).
• Proven background in complex reconciliations, high-volume transactional accounts, and subledger-to-GL reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present findings to leadership.
• Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
