Description: The Stewardship and Communications Assistant provides part‑time administrative and programmatic support to the Foundation team in the areas of donor stewardship, event preparation, external communications, and office coordination. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely acknowledgment and recognition of donors and partners, preparing materials for board and fundraising events, and contributing to key communication initiatives such as newsletters and social media.
Responsibilities- Assists with donor stewardship and recognition, including preparing and sending letters, coordinating call tracking, and maintaining records.
- Assists with content development and scheduling for newsletters and impact reports, and manages social media platforms including Facebook, Linked In, You Tube, and Instagram.
- Drafts and edits donor and student spotlight stories with guidance from the development team.
- Prepares communications for board education and Foundation updates.
- Prepares auction materials and packages for the Dream Gala and other fundraising events.
- Assists with gift and sponsorship tracking, acknowledgments, recognition, and post‑event follow‑ups.
- Creates and updates activity records and solicitations.
- Provides office support including mail distribution, office supply inventory, document management, and meeting preparation and material distribution.
- Assists with identifying donor prospects and preparing background information for staff or board outreach.
- Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- One year of experience in administrative support, marketing, social media, customer service, or nonprofit/development work.
- Associate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Friendly, proactive, and service‑oriented communication style.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and proficiency in videoconferencing applications such as Teams and Zoom.
- Ability to learn and contribute to a fast‑paced, mission‑driven team.
- Basic writing and proofreading skills for cards, stories, social media outlets, and other external communications.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Committed to working in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor.
- Works inside in an office environment.
- May be required to work flexible hours, with occasional evenings or weekends.
- May need to travel between campuses and work at outdoor events or programs.

Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule$16.51 hourly up to 26 hours per week.
Conditions of EmploymentFinalists and individuals recommended for employment at Seminole State College must reside in the State of Florida at the time of hire and may be subject to background investigations and fingerprinting in compliance with Florida Statute 1001.64; and Seminole State College Policy 1.020; 2.020. Criminal background checks and fingerprinting will be conducted for all new employees, and for rehired employees who have had a break in service for one year or more.
