Ligonier Ministries is eager to hire another experienced copywriter to scale our global communications. Joining our team, you’ll apply your attention to detail and thoughtful storytelling as you help steward the written voice and messaging of Ligonier’s marketing endeavors.

To help reach as many people as possible with the truth of our holy God, you’ll write copy for products, social media channels, web properties, and podcasts. Through email campaigns, digital and print ads, blog posts, and more, your words will invite Christians to engage with Ligonier’s teaching materials for their continued theological development and spiritual growth.

• Produce social media copy for Ligonier’s social media accounts
• Write episode descriptions for podcasts such as Renewing Your Mind, 5 Minutes in Church History, and Ask Ligonier
• Create digital marketing copy for initiatives across Ligonier’s many outreaches
• Write print ads for initiatives appearing in Tabletalk magazine and external publications
• Review copy for various ministry needs, including sales, fundraising, etc.
• Seek to ensure that all copy is written and delivered in as timely a manner as possible
• Monitor all copy to determine opportunities to improve its performance to help all campaigns meet their required goals
• Ensure that all copy aligns with the consistent voice of Ligonier or our outreach brands
• Receive special projects or tasks on an as-needed basis

• Excellent writing skills
• A passion for storytelling
• A typing speed of at least 70 WPM
• High attention to detail
• Comfort in both a Windows and a Mac environment (Mac preferred)
• Familiarity with The Chicago Manual of Style
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Familiarity with task management suites, such as Airtable, Asana, Basecamp, Omnifocus, Team Work, Todoist, Wrike, or similar solutions
• Familiarity with the use of AI programs (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) to enhance productivity in research, creative ideation, writing, and editing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• An undergraduate degree or higher in English/communications (preferred)
• An undergraduate degree or higher in religious studies/theology degree or 1–3 years of relevant work experience (preferred)
• Affirmation and agreement with Ligonier’s Core Statement of Faith

This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Sanford, Florida. While we would prefer to work with you in person, remote employment is open for consideration. At this time, we are only able to hire individuals who are authorized to work in the United States. The pay range for this position is $50,000–$57,000 annually. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting.

We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
