Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Biology
OR
Master's Degree From a Regionally Accredited Institution With At Least 18 Graduate Hours In Any Combination Of The Following Qualifying Fields
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Biochemistry
- Biology
- Biomedical Sciences
- Biotechnology
- Botany
- Conservation Biology
- Ecology
- Environmental Science
- Genetics
- Marine Biology
- Microbiology
- Molecular Biology
- Oceanography (with a Biology emphasis)
- Pharmacology (with a Biology emphasis)
- Zoology
Desired
Qualifications:
Demonstrated understanding of the learning centered approach to teaching with teaching experience and professional certification.

Skills:
- A personal and professional commitment to creating an atmosphere of quality instruction at SSC.
- English reading, writing and speaking skills at the native level of fluency.
- Ability to utilize technology and innovative pedagogy to enhance teaching and learning.
- Understanding of and commitment to working with a diverse student population in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor.
