Overview
Paraprofessional – Academic Success – Writing and Communication (part-time) provides tutoring for students, mentors new tutors, assists with workshops and training, and conducts outreach. Location options include Sanford/Lake Mary or Oviedo, with assignments varying by need.
Responsibilities- Provides individual and small group tutoring for students.
- Mentors new tutors.
- Assists with development and delivery of workshops and training.
- Conducts information sessions to promote the services of the Academic Success/STAR Center.
- Maintains the professional operations of the Academic Success/STAR Center.
- Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.

- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- Associate of Arts degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience tutoring or teaching.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
- Demonstrates a professional, courteous demeanor.
- Ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Works inside in an office or laboratory.
- Hours will vary (days, evenings, and weekends), up to twenty-six hours per week during fall and spring semesters. Summer assignments may be less than twenty hours per week based on need.

Pay, Benefits And Work SchedulePay: $15.58 hourly up to 26 hours per week.
Employment type: Temporary part-time pool position. Submissions remain active for one academic year and may be reviewed as openings become available.
