Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Electrical Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for providing diagnostic services, troubleshooting solar panel systems and electrical components, and performing both preventive and corrective maintenance. The position involves traveling to customer homes and businesses, conducting installations, testing equipment, and educating customers on product usage. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and mechanical skills, along with the ability to work independently in various environments.
Job Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on photovoltaic (PV) inverters, string boxes, solar panels, and related components.
- Assist with commissioning solar arrays and monitoring systems during project installations.
- Install batteries and manage on-site repairs, installations, and maintenance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and solar systems.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Mount and secure electrical equipment mechanically and structurally.
- Perform electrical wiring of solar arrays and systems (AC and DC).
- Conduct voltage testing using proper PPE and safety procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with quality management and environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, including outages, shorts, and faults.
- Work with battery backup systems (e.g., Enphase, LG).
- Complete RMA processes and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Valid state driver’s license required.
- Ability to safely work at heights, on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, bending, pulling, pushing, and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, rain, crawl spaces).
- Experience with Electrical Troubleshooting and Solar Systems strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment required.
