Description

CPH is seeking a talented entry-level Project Engineer to join our dynamic and highly collaborative land development team in Sanford, FL.

The Project Engineer I supports project management activities by providing technical and administrative support throughout the project’s lifecycle. This role involves assisting with project planning, design, and execution while gaining hands-on experience in engineering best practices and project management. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in engineering principles, has strong organizational skills, and can work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in developing project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Support the design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting and drawings.
  • Conduct inspections and quality control to ensure high standards.
  • Perform research and analysis to support project design and development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing and evaluating proposals.
  • Monitor projects to ensure adherence to engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Prepare and present progress reports on project status.
  • Stay updated with engineering technology and industry standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar platforms.
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Critical thinking and sound independent judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within schedules and budgets.
  • Flexible work schedule to meet project deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated.

Education and Experience:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience or internship.
  • EI/EIT certification or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and industry standards.
