Operates the reclaimed pumping facilities for the Wastewater Department. Inspects and maintains the reclaimed Distribution systems. Performs inspections of all reclaimed customers of Seminole County Environmental Services.
** Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.
** Additional compensation based on licensure.
Essential Functions
: These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position.
Performs daily site operations of the reclaimed facilities for the Greenwood Lakes, Yankee Lake and Markham water reclamation facilities. Operates the reclaimed distribution system.
Records and maintains data for Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and St. Johns Water Management District monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Prepares daily reclaimed reports for SCES Administration, Engineering, and Wastewater Departments.
Performs inspections of all existing customer connections per FDEP and Seminole County Reclaimed Ordinance requirements.
Responds to customer complaints and performs site inspections on all new reclaimed connections.
Reviews plans and maintains a working knowledge of the reclaimed distribution systems.
Works closely with existing and new customers to provide information on reclaimed water rules and their relation to current water conservation regulations.
Additional Duties
Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
Minimum Requirements:
High School/GED and one (1) year related experience.
Must possess an FDEP Class "C" Wastewater Operators License or higher.
Must possess or obtain a FWPCOA State Reclaim Inspector's License within one (1) year of hire.
Backflow tester's certification preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver License, Class "E".
Ability to read blueprints.
Basic computer knowledge in Word and Excel.
