Medical Technologist PRN – HCA Healthcare

We are looking for a dedicated practitioner to provide expertise, champion results, and maintain the high standard of patient care that our 221‑bed acute care hospital and Level II trauma center is known for.

- Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing, analyzing proficiency testing samples and completing them within the allowable time frame.
- Assume departmental responsibility in the absence of the supervisor.
- Complete all required records and documentation of patient results.
- Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets.
- Use good judgment and independent thinking in correlating and interpreting patient results, including delta checks.
- Review pending logs (OSR) and result logs, resolve outstanding workloads, and communicate to staff for relief if necessary.
- Perform quality control procedures per protocol and handle all critical laboratory specimens or test results.
- A 2‑year associate degree (required).
- A 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (preferred).
- Less than 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist.
- Florida technologist license or ability to obtain one during the interview process.
- Licenses in clinical specialty areas (generalist highly preferred); specialties include Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology.
