Assistant Store ManagerJob Type: Full Time
The candidate must have open availability on weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
Who You Are:
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in helping develop, lead, and motivate a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience that supports building brand loyalty and achieving financial targets. You will operate as the Manager on Duty as assigned by Store Management, representing Curaleaf as a brand ambassador by providing top‑notch customer service and educating guests on our products.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Proactively communicate with Store Manager, District Manager and cross‑functional partners to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Model the way and lead selling behaviors, aligned with our brand culture, to support building loyal customer relationships and delivering on key financial targets.
- Monitor and analyze the customer service provided by team members, offering feedback and coaching.
- Model and share customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive and delightful guest experience, including interpersonal habits and Curaleaf service traits.
- Supervise the operation of the store and team members, opening/closing, task delegation, and scheduling.
- Supervise the control of the store money including register counts, withdrawals, armored car pickups, safe deposits, change orders, and oversee all aspects of bookkeeping.
- Learn to analyze inventory trends and supervise inventory management, including ordering items and avoiding outs and overstock.
- Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g., registers, Leaf Logix).
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Willing to travel to other locations for training and/or coverage; 10%–25% travel required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail and/or customer service experience in a high‑paced selling environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of how to measure success through financial targets and KPIs.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Previous experience in a regulated industry.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to build and manage teams.
- Strong salesmanship skills and experience driving revenue.
- Strong cash handling and POS operations experience.
- Desire for continued learning and ability to share information with broad audiences.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to run the business in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Previous experience in the cannabis industry.
Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands and fingers; lift up to 25 pounds occasionally to 50 pounds. Close vision required (20 inches or less).
SalarySalary range: $50,000 – $55,000 USD
