Key Responsibilities- Open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, organized shopping environment.
- Ensure merchandise presentation, store cleanliness, and compliance with company operational processes.
- Maintain safe and secure environments – enforce safety policies, manage building entrance/exit control, safeguard cash and inventory, and respond to alarms.
- Deliver excellent customer service – treat customers and associates with respect, maintain professionalism, and recognize high performance.
- Represent the Ross brand, enforce dress code, and keep all store areas merchandise‑ready.
- Manage merchandising – oversee receiving, processing, and displaying products; manage stockroom organization; handle markdowns and loss prevention.
- Supervise front‑end operations – train associates on cash registers, shortage control, and “scan and bag” best practices; manage line and expedite customer wait time.
- Maintain fitting rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper tag auditing.
- Perform administrative duties – cash pulls, bank deposits, payroll admin, schedule compliance, and other tasks assigned by the Store Manager.
- Safety & Security: Implement safety protocols, monitor for hazards, secure the store and protect cash and inventory.
- Customer Service: Show courtesy and professionalism to customers and associates.
- Brand & Appearance: Represent the company brand, enforce dress code, and maintain a clean, merchandised store.
- Merchandising: Ensure proper receiving, processing, and placement of merchandise, and maintain stockroom standards.
- Loss Prevention: Conduct inspections, maintain PVM system, and safeguard confidential information.
- Front‑End Operations: Train associates, manage cash procedures, and ensure efficient cashier performance.
- Fitting Rooms: Keep fitting rooms clean, audit tags, and process returns.
- Administration: Handle cash pulls, payroll, scheduling, and other store manager requests.

- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
- Basic mathematical calculations in retail settings.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Use all store equipment, including pressure‑demand terminals (PDTs), registers, and PCs.
- Stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.;
Stockroom shifts may require lifting over 20 lbs. - Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
