Job Summary:

The Electrical Service Estimator consults with existing and potential clients to discover electrical needs.

• None.

• Meet with customers to determine electrical needs.
• Estimate residential and commercial electrical projects and prepare proposals for presentation.
• Write estimates in the field when required.
• Close deals with customers onsite or by proposals.
• Complete electrical scopes of work per NEC.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and diagnose faulty items in the electrical system.
• Monitor jobs in progress and assist with invoice collection when needed.
• Develop relationships with commercial/residential clients with potential electrical needs.
• Work with assigned electrical service supervisors, field techs, and staff.
• Generate sales and service quoting opportunities.
• Develop new accounts as well as service existing accounts.
• Keep in touch with current and future Strada Electric customers.
• Abide by all safety / environmental rules and regulations.
• Works with a service manager to meet company goals and revenue expectations.
• Become proficient in company software and company reporting.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical systems diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of NEC codes, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, provide guidance, and consult with clients using good customer relations skills.
• Must possess hand tools and power tools to execute job duties.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle.
• Must be able to complete tasks, as assigned, within the company standard time frame.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years of electrical construction / electrical service experience required.
• At least one year’s experience in Electrical Estimating.

• Physically able to climb step ladders.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR record.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
