Lead A&P Mechanic at Acron Aviation

Job Description- Scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance on all aircraft systems; piston engine, propeller, airframe, flight control, landing gear, troubleshooting systems, sheet metal, and composite repair.
- Perform all maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturers’ technical data.
- Maintain hand and special tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Responsible for personal and company tool accountability, including reporting unserviceable tools and equipment to the appropriate responsible party.
- Report to the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance.
- Performs serviceability checks before operating powered and non‑powered support equipment. Complies with established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assists other mechanics as required. Complies with all safety, environmental, security, and housekeeping standards.
- Complies with training requirements.
- Assists in training newly assigned personnel. Operates vehicles, both special‑purpose and regular, as authorized.
- Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety always.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all Acron Aviation’s aircraft, including weekends and holidays.
- Perform daily maintenance tasks.
- Schedule maintenance tasks.
- Communicate maintenance status to management.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Acron Aviation’s training fleet of aircraft.
- Maintain records.
- Maintain inventory.
- Make recommendations for solutions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience.
- Inspection Authorization.
- Both Airframe and Powerplant certificates with no violations.
- Current driver’s license.
- Pass a 10‑year FBI background check.
- Minimum tool list.
- Experience with general aviation aircraft.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excel familiarity.
- Mid‑Senior level
