Head Start Lead Teacher

We are now hiring a Lead Teacher to join us in our mission of creating a warm and supportive environment where children and families can thrive.

Base

pay range

$24.11/hr – $24.11/hr

  • $5,000 sign‑on bonus payable in four installments ($1,000 after completion of months 3, 6, 9 & $2,000 after 1 year – external applicants only).

Your role
  • Partnering with families to develop child‑focused goals that meet individual needs.
  • Planning, implementing and documenting a comprehensive child development program suitable for preschoolers.
  • Building positive and supportive relationships with children and families.
  • Coordinating the daily operations of the classroom while supervising the activities of 1 or more staff members.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
  • Experience working with children in a center‑based setting; prior experience working with families and supervising others preferred.
  • Willing to work flexible hours to meet families’ needs.
  • Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
  • Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.
