Education and Training Instructor
Position offered by The Fedcap Group located in Sanford, Maine. This role focuses on delivering high‑energy, interactive career readiness, life‑skills and staff professional development workshops through groups and digital platforms.

This tech‑savvy, people‑facing member of the Education and Training team delivers workshops and training, and individual sessions with participants as needed, to assist them in improving their well‑being and to develop career‑focused action plans.
Essential Functions- Deliver workshops and training on topics such as career development, stress management, conflict resolution, communication, digital literacy, English language skills, parenting skills, and more.
- Conduct staff training during onboarding and provide continuous professional development throughout the year.
- Meet with participants one‑on‑one to discuss and explore options for further education and training.
- Maintain participant records in Fedcap
CARES, ensuring documentation meets contractual requirements and quality standards. - Meet personal performance targets, KPIs and all quality and compliance measures by delivering high‑quality employability provision to participants, both remotely and face‑to‑face.
- When delivering training remotely, ensure appropriate digital technologies are used in a privacy‑supportive environment that protects attendee confidentiality.
- Assist participants and staff in using technology, including working with them in the business networking centers.
- Plan and assist in developing content and materials for each workshop by researching best practices for working with adult learners.
- Assign activities and learning assignments to participants and track progress and completion.
- Attend evaluation and training team meetings weekly and provide feedback on which participants are ready to work and other pertinent information.
- Conduct academic, aptitude and interest evaluations and recommend further education, job training and employment.
- Evaluate credentials attained in other countries and assess their alignment with U.S./local employment and educational requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in adult education, vocational rehabilitation, life‑skills coaching, human services, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
- Two years of adult teaching experience, workshop facilitation or workforce development coaching.
- Experience working with public‑assistance recipients, homeless, formerly incarcerated, individuals with disabilities, and/or those affected by poverty is a plus.
- Bi‑lingual is a plus (French, Portuguese, Arabic, Lingala, Somali).
