Location:

Sanford, ME. Salary: $80,000.00 - $. 3 weeks ago.

• Proficient in using precision measurement instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, helichecks, optical microscopes).
• Experience with 2D and 3D inspection equipment and software (e.g., CMM, Walter helichecks, Zolller vision systems).
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of cutting tool geometries, materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.

• Understanding of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
• Capable of performing final inspections and documenting results accurately.
• Ability to identify non-conformances and communicate findings clearly.
• Experience with inspection reports, lot traceability, and non-conformance documentation.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem‑solving mindset and willingness to continuously improve processes.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity for handling small precision components.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/production environment with occasional exposure to dust, oils, and noise.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining or quality inspection is a plus.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in tool inspection or precision manufacturing, preferably in a cutting tool environment.
