Dozer Operator

Sanford Contractors is seeking a dependable, experienced Bulldozer Operator (1+ years experience; high school diploma or equivalent required) to join our team. In this role, you will safely operate CAT D5–D8 bulldozers for fine grading, earthmoving, and site preparation while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities include utilizing grade stakes, GPS guidance, and supervisor directives to achieve required grades; performing daily pre-shift equipment inspections; maintaining clean equipment; and reporting maintenance issues promptly. Operators actively support site safety by attending daily planning huddles, identifying hazards, protecting existing utilities, mentoring junior crew members, and restoring completed work areas. Candidates must possess strong English communication skills, working knowledge of OSHA standards, sharp attention to detail, and a flexible, professional work ethic.

OSHA training is preferred, and candidates must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders regularly. Work involves frequent shoveling, raking, using hand tools and handling materials in and around trenches or uneven terrain. Requires standing or walking for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
