Manufacturing Engineer - Tarboro, NC

Trion Indoor Air Quality, a subsidiary of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Tarboro, NC facility. At Trion, we design and manufacture advanced air purification and filtration systems that improve indoor environments for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Our Tarboro location is a key part of our mission to deliver high‑quality, innovative solutions that enhance the air we breathe.

• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality within our Tarboro manufacturing facility.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Quality, Design Engineering, and Operations to support new product introductions and process changes.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment selection, layout planning, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards specific to indoor air quality products.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably HVAC, filtration, or air quality systems.
• Prior Design for Methodologies (DFM) experience.
• PFMEA experience.
• Experience completing Time Studies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing systems (ERP/MRP).

• Experience in high‑volume manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with automation and robotics integration.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
