Job Description - Respiratory Therapist-PRN ) at Central Carolina

The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing basic and advanced respiratory care services in all clinical settings. The therapist plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of Respiratory Care. The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is capable of taking charge of all shift and work settings and works independently with minimal supervision and available to the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Assistant for advice and help.

The therapist collaborates with other healthcare providers for the patient s continuum of care.

• Provide basic and advanced respiratory care services in all clinical settings.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of Respiratory Care.
• Take charge of all shift and work settings as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) and Assistants for advice and help as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers for the patient s continuum of care.

• Training commensurate with licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner in North Carolina, required.
• Twelve months experience performing Respiratory Care in a hospital setting, preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR according to CCH policy.
• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC or eligible.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP current.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to work on smoke-free campus.

Schedule:

PRN as needed; will include nights, weekends, holidays
