Job SummaryPerforms radiographic procedures and produces radiographic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Performs radiographic procedures (general diagnostic procedures, fluoroscopic procedures, interventional procedures, operating room and portable exams, and bone densitometry) according to departmental protocols, policies and procedures and established standards of practice. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor reflective of medical ethics. Assesses and monitors patients, and provides appropriate patient care.
Radiographers who work primarily first shift must perform basic non‑contrast CT exams (Head, Abdomen, and Pelvis) within 6 months of employment. Those radiographers who staff shifts other than first shift must achieve Rad. Tech II status with competency in CT within 6 months of employment.
- Training commensurate with ARRT Certification (Required)
- Previous radiology experience in health care setting (Required)
- ARRT Certification within 6 months of employment (Required)
- CPR according to CCH policy (Required)
- Must achieve Rad Tech II status with competency in CT within 6 months of employment if staffing shift other than first shift (Required)
- Basic computer skills (Required)
- Able to work independently and under stressful situations (Required)
