Overview
Central Carolina
Description Performs venipunctures, skin punctures, therapeutic phlebotomy, and drug screen collections competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements. Assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed. Responsibilities include bleeding time tests, blood cultures, also blood and urine samples.
Qualifications- High School Graduate, preferred.
- Must have training commensurate with phlebotomy certification.
- Six (6) months phlebotomy experience in the healthcare field, preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification, preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain CPR according to CCH Policy.
- Able to work independently and take direction from immediate supervisor and appropriate personnel in supervisor's absence.
- Basic knowledge of computer.
- Pays attention to details, following blood-drawing standards.
