A MRI Technician who excels in this role:

• Performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures and produces images for interpretation by a radiologist. Procedures will be performed according to departmental protocols, policies and procedures and established standards of practice.
• Assesses and monitors patients, and provides appropriate patient care.
• Demonstrates competency in MRI safety practices with special attention given to screening patients for contraindications prior to scanning.

Applicants should possess an associate s degree from an accredited school. Additional requirements include:

• ARRT Certification in Radiography is required
• ARRT Certification in MRI is required within six months of hire
• BLS is required within 30 days of hire
