Analytical Scientist; Capillary Electrophoresis

Analytical Scientist (Capillary Electrophoresis) position. This role is on-site in Sanford, NC.

The role requires experience performing and reviewing data for Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) and/or Imaged Capillary Isoelectric Focusing (icIEF).

• Support client's Analytical Technology group by conducting wet-chemistry and instrumental analytical chemistry analysis on in-process, final batch concentrate (FBC), monovalent bulk concentrate (MBC) samples.
• Prepare analytical standards and reagents.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Calculate results using Excel spreadsheets and/or instrumental software.
• Document results in electronic laboratory notebooks and review notebooks of peers.
• Support senior analytical chemists on various projects as assigned.
• Utilize technical knowledge to identify, troubleshoot, and assist with resolution of process problems.
• Document experiment execution using an electronic lab notebook, batch record, and/or protocols.
• Prioritize and organize work to meet project deadlines and support team goals.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and client staff members.
• Vaccinations offered by the company due to close work with specific bacterial strains:
  Blood Borne Pathogens (Hep
  
  B);
  Pneumovax 23;
  Menactra;
  Tdap.

• BS in Chemistry or Biochemistry with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Experience working with proteins or carbohydrates.
• Direct experience performing and reviewing data for Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) and/or Imaged Capillary Isoelectric Focusing (icIEF) is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong computer skills.
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a collaborative environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

• Position is full-time, onsite Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, located in Sanford, North Carolina.
• May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
