Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer – ADCO Manufacturing – Sanger, CA

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Sanger, CA.

• Mechanical design of components, assemblies, and complete machinery/systems
• BOM creation and maintenance using MRP/ERP systems
• Provide robust engineering support to internal and external contacts from concept through implementation
• Effective and timely execution of multiple engineering projects within a team-based environment

• 3-5 years experience in mechanical design of capital equipment
• BS/BSE in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience designing complex electro‑mechanical projects, preferably packaging machinery
• Proven experience designing to meet DLS (Design for Lean Sigma) and DFMA processes
• Proficiency with Solidworks and/or other 3D parametric CAD modeling systems
• Proven knowledge of machine tool processes (sheet metal forming, laser cutting, milling, grinding, lathes, welding technologies, etc.)
• Proven knowledge of material characteristics used in machinery design (stainless steel, alloys, plastics, composites, etc.)
• Effective verbal and written communications and demonstrated mature technical judgement
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.)
• Ability to lead project teams to execute projects on time and under budget
