Overview
The Fresno County Department of Public Works and Planning invites applications for the position of Community Worker. Incumbents remove illegally dumped waste from roads and perform unskilled and semi-skilled duties in the operation, maintenance, and repair of public works and related facilities.

Location and assignmentThe department may assign employees to any of the nine road maintenance yards throughout Fresno County (Fresno/Clovis, Sanger, Caruthers, Biola, Tranquility, Dunlap, Firebaugh, Auberry/Shaver, and Coalinga). Employees will be responsible for their own transportation to and from their worksite; auto maintenance and gas costs will not be reimbursed. Indicate your preferred yard(s) in the supplemental questionnaire. Referrals to the hiring department may be based on location preferences, but assignments are determined by department needs.

Minimum qualificationsLicense: Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent.
