We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join a growing corporate tax team. This position will focus primarily on indirect tax compliance, reporting, research, and reconciliation across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have strong sales and use tax experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and review sales and use tax returns, including monthly, quarterly, and annual filings across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.
• Support indirect tax compliance and reporting activities across applicable jurisdictions.
• Prepare and maintain resale and exemption certificates.
• Review customer exemption and resale certificates for accuracy and compliance.
• Process tax adjustments for valid non-taxable transactions within the ERP system.
• Research state and local tax regulations and provide guidance regarding product taxability and exemption requirements.
• Assist with sales and use tax audits, including preparation of supporting documentation.
• Prepare and upload tax-related journal entries within the ERP system.
• Reconcile sales and use tax general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with maintaining the accuracy and integrity of indirect tax reporting and related financial information.
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of tax processes.
• Support special projects and other initiatives within the Tax department as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of indirect tax and accounting experience, preferably within a multi-location or multi-state organization.
• Strong knowledge of sales and use tax compliance and reporting.
• Experience with Avalara/Ava Tax, Vertex, or similar sales tax and exemption certificate software preferred.
• Experience using tax research resources such as CCH Tax Research preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and related functions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Canadian indirect taxes such as GST, PST, HST, or QST is a plus.
