Overview
To thrive as an R&D Assistant, you’ll support daily lab, warehouse, and administrative operations that help our R&D team move projects forward. Under general supervision, complete a variety of administrative tasks and provide general laboratories, warehouse, and delivery support.
What We’re Looking For- Experience with procurement tasks, including entering requisitions and managing purchase orders
- Strong coordination and scheduling skills to support meetings, conference room setup, and supplier visits
- Ability to receive, log, and label incoming raw materials with accuracy
- Attention to detail when reconciling packing slips with purchase orders and maintaining documentation
- Ability to run shipping and receiving operations (Fed Ex, DHL, UPS) and serve as a backup for warehouse receiving
- A proactive approach to keeping warehouse and storage areas clean, safe, and organized
- Reliable transportation and time management for delivering mail and raw materials between local facilities
- Proficient in using computer systems to manage shipment and material data, with hands-on experience overseeing inventory control, particularly for laboratory supplies
- A creative and hands-on approach to support demos, displays, and other project needs
- Experience performing clerical/office tasks and hands-on warehouse work
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Knowledge of standard office record-keeping practices
- Clear, professional communication with staff, management, agents, vendors, and customers
- Ability to meet Behr’s authorized driver standards (valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and acceptable driving record)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Comfortable with operating heavy machinery, including forklifts, reach trucks, and both manual and electric pallet jacks. Even if you do not have experience, we encourage you to apply as we will provide you with training and certification
