Job DescriptionThe Quality Systems Engineer role is ensuring our products meet aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that support continuous improvement, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions- Quality Systems AS 9100:
Internal Audits, Customer Audit, Corrective Actions, Continuous Improvement, performance reports and metrics, supplier management, and FOD program. - AS13100 - MSA (gage R&R), PFMEA, PPAP.
- Other supporting responsibilities:
Product Verification (Contract Review, Manufacturing router review, special processes review, inspection (FAIR), and shipment release (Source, DSQR/DQR)).
- HS Diploma/GED AND 5+ years of experience in Aerospace industry (mechanical).
- OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any other related field and minimum 3 years in Aerospace industry (mechanical).
- MSFT Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Dimensional Inspection and GD&T
- GAGE, R&R, SPC, PFMEA, PPAP
- Experience with AS9100 systems.
- Experience with internal audits, customer audits, and NADCAP audits.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud. The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, occasionally stand and walk, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ("green card" holders), or have refugee or asylee status.
CompensationPay Range: $80,000 to $95,000/annual.
