Position SummarySr. Manufacturing Engineer position leads Engineering efforts and teams associated with the manufacturing process of aerospace part/products to support the customers of PCX Aerosystems. This role requires using the understanding of technical concepts, engineering methods and procedures in the manufacturing process. In depth experience with manufacturing of complex aerospace parts. A good knowledge of CNC milling, CNC turning, Metal Forming and Composites manufacturing.
This role reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Essential ResponsibilitiesDefine, lead and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers. Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent. Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
Communicates with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
- Refine and enhance product/process by applying continuous improvement and lean principles.
- Partner with production leadership, quality, Production Control and program management on cost out projects.
- Own and implement changes to manufacturing processes in an assembly, test, welding and composites.
- Develop, maintain, and control the planning function for routers and BOM structure including Purchase Order Part Specification (POPS).
- Tooling design for product assembly and product test.
- Problem solve manufacturing related issues using a structured and disciplined approach.
- Investigate, identify and report out root cause and lead the implementation of corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 7–10 years of experience in Manufacturing (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing).
- Aerospace industry experience in a manufacturing setting.
- BS in technical discipline such as manufacturing engineering, engineering, design engineering, project engineering or other technical related degrees.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
