• Determine creditworthiness by obtaining credit history, assets and liabilities, income and employment verification, and performing a background check
• Proactively stay abreast of mortgage industry trends and lending rate sheets; maintain strong relationships with mortgage lending sources / mortgage bankers, and establish referral relationships with real estate professionals
• Submit application file to lenders in order to apply on the homeowners’ behalf
• Explain varying loan products, buying or refinance process, and lending guidelines to applicants
• Determine each applicant’s or borrower’s specific lending or refinance needs after conducting a thorough interview

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred in economics, business administration, banking, finance, or real estate law
• Have a strong understanding of loan products and loan process from origination to close
• 5 years of mortgage loan origination or loan officer experience required
• Up to date NMLS licensure or National Association of Mortgage Broker license or certification is required
• Exceptional communications skills, time-management and analysis skills, and independently resourceful

$150,000, at plan earnings.
