** Job Summary
** The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) applies knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methods to help patients living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorders and works with patients with other developmental disabilities. Works to alter a person’s behavior and employ a systematic approach to help those they serve to develop better social and life skills; consistently implements the behavior plan with integrity while collecting data.

Works under the supervision of a BCBA and will receive mentorship to develop growth in the field of ABA.
** Pay Range
** Minimum $25.46 Midpoint $33.73 Maximum $42.01
* Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

* Required:

Minimum one (1) year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities using Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT).
Preferred:
Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders in patient’s home and/or community setting. Experience working with individuals with moderate to severe aggressive behaviors.
** Education
*
* Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work or related field.  Preferred:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work or related field.
** Specialized Skills

* Required:

Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
** Licensure

* Required:

Successfully passed RBT competency assessment. 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List (as required for RBT credential).
** Work Environments - Functional Demand:
** Sedentary - Very light energy level Lift 10 lbs. box overhead. Lift and carry 15 lbs. Push/pull 20 lbs. cart.##
** Physical Activity Requirements:
** Bending, Carry Objects, Climbing, Keyboard use/repetitive motion, Pinching/fine motor activities, Push/Pull, Reaching forward, Reaching overhead, Sitting, Squat/kneel/crawl (Squad & Knee), Standing, Talk or hear, Taste or smell, Twisting, Walking, Wrist position deviation
** Physical Activity Lifting
** Lifting (Floor to waist level) - Occasional 0-35%, Lifting (Waist level and above) - Occasional 0-35%
** Sensory Requirements:
** Color Discrimination, Depth Perception, Far Vision, Hearing, Near Vision
