Job Summary

Working under minimal supervision, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for performing professional HR-related duties while working closely with employees, members of the human resources and management team in supporting the operational needs of the organization.

Job Requirements
  • Develops, implements and administers various Human Resources plans, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality when working with APP’s people and information.
  • Participates in the development of company and departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Carries out responsibilities in any of the following areas:
    Recruitment and Selection, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Training and Development, Performance Management, Labor and Employee Relations, Succession Planning, and HR Data and Analytics.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, Talent Management and Employment Law.
  • A strong intentional focus on culture and alignment with the company’s values, beliefs, and behaviors in support of the business strategy and meeting the Key Results.
  • Utilizes Dayforce Human Capital Management system and Microsoft Office to achieve established goals and Key Results.
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing industry a plus.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
Skill Requirements
  • Either a Bachelor’s degree in an HR related field, a PHR certification, or a minimum of five years HR experience.
  • High standard of ethics, integrity and protection of confidential data.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent worker with a clear sense of urgency and exceptional accuracy.
  • Experience with labor laws, EEO, AAP, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Strong computer and HCM/HRMS knowledge.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills — specifically advanced with Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
  • Excellent listener, communicator and collaborator.
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and practices pertaining to recruiting and its role within Human Resources.
  • Strong organization, time and project management skills necessary to prioritize and manage multiple, complex projects, potentially with conflicting priorities; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing industry a plus.

This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. In lieu of the above, any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered at the Company’s discretion.
