Payroll Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Payroll Processor
. The ideal candidate will manage the accurate and timely processing of multi‑state payroll while adhering to strict reporting deadlines and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. This role involves collaborating with team members, supporting employees and managers with payroll‑related inquiries, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

• Process multi‑state weekly payroll accurately and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Verify and review employee timecards prior to processing.
• Handle payroll adjustments, including salary changes, bonus payments, commissions, and other payroll items.

• Respond to payroll‑related inquiries from employees and managers via phone, email, or ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.

• Partner with payroll team members and the HR department to ensure smooth and compliant payroll operations.

• Support department goals by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain and update payroll checklists and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Experience processing multi‑state payroll with a strong understanding of payroll compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with payroll systems (experience with Points North or similar platforms a plus).
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
