GENERAL MANAGER OF ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT

MARUWA AMERICA Corp. is recruiting a General Manager for the Administrative Department in Santa Ana, California. The role oversees all management operations for the U.S. subsidiary (~20 employees), including finance, HR, general affairs, office management, and day‑to‑day administrative tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Finance related:
    • Oversee departmental accounting functions.
    • Prepare and submit financial reports to the parent company.
    • Manage accounts receivable and collections.
    • Control budget, actuals management and analysis.
    • Conduct business performance evaluations.
    • Manage and control personnel expenses.
    • Optimize cash flow.
    • Monthly and annual closing tasks.
    • Process daily accounts payable and bi‑weekly payroll.
  • Human Resources related:
    • Drive organizational improvement initiatives.
    • Develop and execute staffing plans.
    • Manage personnel transfers and adjustments.
    • Conduct employee evaluations.
    • Maintain and update compensation systems and salary tables.
    • Oversee time‑keeping administration.
    • Implement mandatory federal and state training.
  • General Affairs related:
    • Draft, revise and enforce internal policies.
    • Communicate official decisions and instructions to the organization.
    • Manage and protect company assets.
    • Provide office and general secretarial services.
    • Assess and guide compliance status.
  • Inside Sales oversight: manage sales operations.
  • Overall coordination of all management functions for the U.S. subsidiary.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Japanese: native level.
  • Experience in business management within the United States.
  • Experience managing a U.S. administrative department team.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Ability to multitask and manage time in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S. and occasional overseas travel.

Preferred:

  • Background in finance.
  • Background in accounting.
RECIPIENT

Employment type: Permanent Full‑time

Working hours: Monday‑Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm (flexible hours available)
Compensation: $95K–120K annually (salary negotiable)
