CMM Programmer​/Inspector - Machine Shop

Aerospace Parts Inspector - Quality Control

Long Beach, CA | Salary: $70,000.00-$90,000.00

We are seeking a skilled inspector with proficiency in CMM, ROMER ARM, and PC Dimas. Experience with Mastercam is a plus.

• Perform first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections.
• Visually check for damaged parts and ensure all requirements and documentation are in order.
• Prepare non-conformance reports as needed.
• Use precision measuring tools to collect data and conduct inspections to maintain quality standards.
• Analyze and interpret data to support continuous improvement.

• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to inform programming decisions.
• Inspect parts with thorough knowledge of dimension and tolerance as required by in-house and or customer drawings.
• First Article, In-process and Final inspection.
• Proficient in the use of micrometers, digital height gauges, comparators, pin gage, bore gages and other metrology instruments.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards including AS9100 and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Conduct thorough testing of programs to identify bugs or areas for improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to programming practices.

• MUST HAVE 2-5 YEARS OF AEROSPACE, MACHINE-SHOP EXPERIENCE.
• Experience with CMM & Portable CMM/arm while using PC Dimas is highly desirable.
• Mastercam experience, CMM programming and machining background.
• Must have experience with inspecting aerospace parts and strong shop math background.
• Intermediate level computer proficiency including e-mail, Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
• Familiarity with codes standards applicable in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
• Dependable with good attitude.
