- Coordinate and assign delivery routes to drivers efficiently and accurately
- Monitor active deliveries, driver status, and route progress in real time
- Ensure all orders are accepted, staged, and dispatched in accordance with company SOPs
- Communicate delays, issues, or changes to drivers and management immediately
- Verify all delivery documentation is complete before dispatch (IDs, manifests, receipts)
- Ensure all deliveries comply with California DCC regulations and company policies
- Verify customer information, order details, and delivery eligibility prior to dispatch
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, timestamps, and driver records
- Report any discrepancies, incidents, or compliance concerns to management promptly
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during shifts
- Ensure drivers follow all safety, vehicle, and security protocols
- Confirm vehicle inspections, lockbox procedures, and end-of-shift checklists are completed
- Track driver attendance, punctuality, and communication
- Assist with delivery-related customer inquiries or issues when needed
- Maintain professional, calm, and solution-focused communication at all times
- Coordinate with sales floor and management to resolve order or payment issues
- Assist with end-of-shift reconciliation and reporting
- Support audits, reviews, and operational improvements as directed
- Maintain organized dispatch records and reports
Qualifications
Required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous dispatch, logistics, or coordination experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-volume or high-pressure situations
- Basic computer skills and comfort using POS, delivery, or routing systems
- Ability to stand, sit, and work in an office/dispatch environment for extended periods
- Experience in a regulated industry (cannabis, transportation, logistics, or security)
- Familiarity with cannabis delivery compliance and procedures
- Leadership or supervisory experience
