Santa Barbarathatislookingfora Accounting Specialist  to join its growing accounting function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 1 year of hands-on accounting experience who is ready to take on more responsibility, strengthen their technical accounting skills, and gain exposure to the financial operations of 15 separate entities.

You'll be part of a close-knit, four-person accounting team, working directly alongside an experienced Corporate Accountant who values training, collaboration, and developing team members.

We're looking for someone dynamic, intuitive, analytical, and naturally curious-someone who doesn't just process transactions but wants to understand the "why" behind the numbers.

• Support full-cycleaccountingactivitiesacross
  15entities, gaining hands-on exposure to a variety of financial functions and business operations.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
• Performbankandaccountreconciliations, including corporate accounts, trust accounts, and company credit cards.
• Assist with semi-monthly processing, payroll reporting, and maintaining accurate employee financial records.
• Research discrepancies, troubleshoot accounting issues, and proactively identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintainfinancialrecordsacrossmultipleaccountingsystems,databases,and spreadsheets.
• Assist with workers' compensation reporting, audits, and other compliance-related accounting activities.
• Collaboratewiththe Corporate Accountantandfellowteammembersonspecialprojectsandadditionalaccountingresponsibilities .

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on accounting experience with a strong understanding on foundational accounting principles.
• Associate'sdegreeorrelevantcourseworkin
  
  Accounting,Finance,orarelatedfield.
• ExperiencewithAP,AR,reconciliations,andcorporatepayrollprocessing.
• Workingknowledgeof Californiapayrollregulationsandgeneralaccountingpractices.
• Ananalyticalandintuitivemindsetwithstrongcritical-thinkingandproblem-solving abilities.

• $29–$33/hour,dependingonexperience
• Paidovertimewhenapplicable
