Electrical Engineer – Altium | Santa Barbara, CA Onsite | AS

• Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for new and existing products.
• Create electrical schematics and PCB designs using Altium Designer.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and design documentation.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
• Support prototype builds, board bring-up, debugging, testing, and design validation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hardware issues and implement design improvements.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
• Support design reviews and transition products from development into manufacturing.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve PCB and production issues.
• Ensure designs meet applicable performance, reliability, manufacturability, and quality requirements.

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in electrical/electronic product development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Altium Designer.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design/layout.
• Strong understanding of analog and/or digital circuit design.
• Experience with component selection, BOM development, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting prototype development and hardware testing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional engineering teams.

• Experience with mixed‑signal, embedded hardware, or power electronics.
• Experience with PCB bring‑up, debugging, and validation.
• Experience with DFM/DFT and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with electromechanical products.
• Experience in aerospace, medical devices, robotics, industrial equipment, instrumentation, or similar environments.
